Station 1: Advanced Dentistry Skills

Michelle Badeaux, B.S., RVT, CHT-V

This hands-on laboratory session will provide veterinary technicians with practical instruction in the positioning and acquisition of diagnostic dental radiographs. Participants will review positioning techniques for the maxillary and mandibular teeth, with emphasis on appropriate patient, sensor, and beam alignment to obtain accurate views of individual tooth groups. The session will also address common positioning challenges and image-quality errors, allowing participants to develop greater consistency and confidence in producing diagnostic-quality dental radiographs.
